JFDI - Frost and all

Brrrr, it's cold out there. ... Yep the last couple of mornings have been pretty cold and frosty -1 degrees to be precise, for our Super Sess yesterday and then 1 degrees at the steps this morning. But as the motto goes, we still just F'n did it. And I Smashed it.

For the first time, yesterday, I ran 4.5 km's around the river without stopping! Thanks to the cold I had a few weeks ago, it's put me behind a little bit in my 10 km running program. Next Sat I'm suppose to be up to 6kms so will have to see how I go.I'm still pretty stoked to think I can run 4.5 kms considering when I first started the program I couldn't even run to the park and back which was a couple of blocks away!

Also, I must give my aunty a huge shout out and thank you for joining me this morning at the 1000 steps, and then cooking up such a yummy breakky afterwards...  It was a bit tougher this morning, as I decided to pack my back pack to how I think I would for the Inca Trail and man did that extra weight add up quickly!! Crikies - what have I got myself into?

Me & Aunty Pauline, top of the 1000 steps
In other big news - I dropped a nickers size - woo hoo and my lulu lemon kitty is up to $40!!!

I guess the next big challenge I wanna set myself is to go Cold Turkey with soft drink! How does one do this ?? I've cut back significantly to what I used to, but still having trouble cutting it out completely. Any of you have any tips ?

That's it for another blog.. Here's to another busy week ahead and hopefully a Pink Ladies Grandfinal win on tuesday night - stay tuned.

Night all xo

After smashing my 4.5 km running this morning - VERY HAPPY!!

A cup of herbal tea is now far more enjoyable with a couple of pieces of chocolate - But how does one stop at our portion size of 2 ?

Bean Nachos - so yummy!! Definitely a new fav that I'll be repeating for sure!
French Toast - Always a winner!

Turkey, Cheese and Basil Pesto Toasty - A new Fav lunch :)

Size 8 Baby

Howdy all. My name is Sarah and it's been 10 days since my last blog, my bad ??? Truth of the matter is Ive been so exhausted lately and just haven't had the time. Work is so flat out at the moment and  the last thing I've felt like doing is switching on another computer! The good news though is I'm back and have achieved quite a few milestones in that time - see below!

Milestone # 1 - Attended my first body pump and RPM class.
Mind you this was all in one go. One after the other. RPM, then pump followed by body balance. Lets just say I had a sore butt for the next week!!

Milestone # 2 - Managed to get up at 6 am for some early morning training sessions.

Milestone # 3 - Finally got my transformer uniform - a new hoodie, and had another awesome SSS with a visit from our favourite Choboni!

Our new Transformer Hoodies :)
Mmmm, so much Choboni!!
Milestone # 4 - The biggest of them all was buying a pair of size 8 jeans. Even if they were from Target, I was so ecstatic and pleased, that all this hard work is finally paying off.

Milestone # 5 - I was so awesome and organised that I cooked these amazing Beef & Guiness Pies before heading off to the footy, so I wasn't tempted to by the expensive nasty fried food at the game. They were sooo good, that even PM loved them, and said I have to cook them again!

That's it for now my friends. I promise to blog again soon, and not let so many days goes by without one. Alarm is set for another 6:00 session so must go to bed.
Nigh Night.

Weigh in Wednesday

AKA - Origin night with no beer :(

Unheard of you might say.... Yes - normally I would be at the pub tonight watching tonights state of origin game and knocking back a couple of beers with mates, but instead I'm watching it from the comfort of my own lounge room as I'm typing this, with a soda water and fresh lime.

That's how much 12wbt means to me at the moment and it's paying off. I've dropped another 300 gs and for the first time in I don't know how many years I'm below 61 kilo's. I'm one VERY happy girl at the moment! **insert happy dance**

I took some time out this morning to look at a few photos of me from the start of the year and I was shocked. But also very proud to think how far I've come and the changes I've made to live a healty and happier lifestyle. It's all I ever wanted and joining the 12wbt family is the best thig I've ever done.  Sorry if I sound like a broken record, but I can't help but gloat - it's nice that people are starting to notice! It's slow and steady, but at this rate I should get into the 50's before my big holiday :)..

And of course, as promised, here are this weeks foodie pics thus far.
Nigh Night xo

Boooo to Winter

and it's only just started... Winter truly has settled in with a couple of my training sessions this weekend having to be abandoned due to extreme weather. And frustratingly, both Saturday and Sunday's plans were in the morning, and after making the call to cancel, the afternoon cleared up and the sun came out! That's Melbourne for you! I guess the moral of this story is to sleep in and stop planning training sessions at 8 am... I did however, manage to the gym instead .. I just didn't smash the 1000 calories as I would have done, had I of tackled the 1000 steps. And of course still met the girls for a lovely brunch after we did our own independent gym sessions!

Last week you may remember I decided to start a tip jar for every kilometer i run and session I smash. The week's tally is now at $16...  Sooo, that's $1 for each session (6) plus $1 per km. Still a long way to go til I can purchase a new Lululemon top, but it's a good start and I'm happy with that. Reporting on this should definitely keep me motivated and accountable.

Oh yeah - and it's almost up to week 4 again, which means it's mini milestone week. If any of you have any grand ideas on how I should step up and challenge myself, and see how far I've come please fire away! Maybe a body pump class that I've never done before!

And finally - what to do with left over lamb roast and veges... Turn it into a Pizza... Genius idea - Thanks to my boy PM!! Awesome!! xo
